Why we hold companies instead of only consulting

Advisory work is a fast way to learn a market and a slow way to prove anything. The feedback loop belongs to the client, and the failure modes are theirs to absorb.

Holding operating companies changes the incentive. When our own units carry the cost of a bad positioning decision, the methodology we publish stops being theoretical.

That is the structural reason Authentic Influence exists as a parent company rather than a firm: the research, the tooling, and the operating businesses are meant to correct each other.
